The good news is that you can undo some of the damage you have done to your teeth and restore them to a healthy white color if you devote them some time: • Brush regularly:  As any dentist would tell you, you just cannot do away with brushing your teeth twice a day and flossing them at least 1-2 times a week. Though regular brushing and flossing does not help you remove teeth stains, it can ensure that you do not get tartar deposits which can also lead to yellowing and tooth discoloration later. Maintaining good oral hygiene is a pre-requisite for removing stains from teeth.

Baking soda to rescue: If the teeth stains are mild, try using baking soda to remove them. It is a time tested remedy which has been known to work on hundreds of thousands of people. Hi, That exactly is the purpose. Baking soda will act as a mild bleaching agent and help take off the stains from your teeth without causing any damage to them and without burning a hole in your pocket. Regards, Ambika.

These are great ideas for teeth whitening. When I was a kid we were so poor we did not always have tooth paste so we used baking soda as a backup.

I wish I had continued it to adulthood but I did not know about the benefits.

Good post so I guess being poor can be beneficial in certain intances. Michael Belk recently posted…Profiting from bigotry, racism, stereotypes, and cultural deterioration. My Profile

Hi Michael, Thanks for reading and appreciating. You do not have to be rich to have a healthy set of teeth. Infact, the more well to do people have the worst teeth because of unhealthy eating habits and excessive consumption of sweets, sugar rich foods, colas, sweetened fruit juices, ice creams, alcohol, etc. God made sure he gave the poorer people plenty to cheer about! :)
